A former financial advisor, Ziggy's first foray into wine came in the mid-1980's when she became a private wine consultant to business executives. Then in the
1990's as a partner in Tantalus Winery, a small, award-winning artisan winery in the Sonoma Valley she found terroir driven passion. Ziggy drove all phases of
the business-sales, marketing, distribution, vineyard development, harvest management, winemaking and customer education. Her intimate understanding of the
wine process and her love of the industry eventually led to her first radio shows, the daily "On Tour," which promotes wine country events, and the weekly
"Wine Wednesday," an extended broadcast that includes wine industry scoop, reviews and a "Wine of the Week." Both air on Sonoma County's KRSH 95.9fm,"The Krush" and KNOB "Bob-96.7fm",
which are owned by Sinclair Communications. She also hosts a weekly wine show on WTAR in Norfolk, VA, which is broadcast throughout the Southeastern seaboard.
Ziggy has interviewed many notable winemakers and industry luminaries, including Gina Gallo-Gallo Family Wines, Spencer Christian-ABC News, Michael Green-Gourmet Magazine, D.C.
Flynt-Master of Wine, Joel Peterson-President and Founder of Ravenswood Winery, Nick Goldschmidt-Beam Wine Estates, Merry Edwards, Kate MacMurray-MacMurray Ranch, Daryl Groom-Geyser

In addition to her award-winning radio shows, Ziggy is a dynamic guest speaker and presenter. Her credits include American Women in Radio and Television, Gourmet Magazine-Gourmet Wine
Cellar, New Orleans Wine and Food Experience, Cinema Epicuria Film Festival, Santa Rosa Junior College, and "Dueling Palates" with Narsai David and John Avery, just to name a few. Ziggy
also is a wine judge and has served on numerous wine panels and competitions, including the Indianapolis International Wine Competition, Los Angeles County Fair Wines of the World Competition,
Virginia Vinifera Wine Growers Competition (V.V.W.G.), World Wine Market International Wine Competition, National Women's Wine Competition, North of the Gate Wine Competition, West Coast Wine
Competition and many more.
Recently, Ziggy's expertise in the wine industry has expanded to the exploration of the world of spirits. She currently is leading seminars on vodka, tequila, rum and a variety of other liquors.
In her role as an educator, she has led wine and spirits seminars for a diverse group of clients including Pepsi, Beverage Builders Inc., Esteé Lauder, Chanel, Gourmet Magazine, the American Cancer
Society and Sinclair Communications. She has also judged in the SF World Spirits Competition.
Ziggy and her musician husband, Tim, reside in the Sonoma Wine Country with their daughter, Teale. In her spare time, she does volunteer work for some of her favorite charities, including the YWCA,
Childrens Village and Music In Schools.
